Vulcan Steel is situated in Marconi Estate (new section of Montague Gardens), which is ideally positioned for the Cape Town harbour area and the shipbuilding and ship repair industry. Vulcan Steel is a specialist stockist of steel sheets and plates in various grades and qualities, such as Hot Rolled Sheets, Galvanised Sheets, Commercial Quality, (mild steel), Grade 300 WA, 50B and 50D, Lloyds and ABS Grade A and EH 36, Roq Last, Roq Tuf and the range of Domex extra high strength steel sheets and Plates to name a few. Stock thicknesses range from 0.5mm to 200 mm and thicker. Vulcan Steel offers a highly technical computerised profiling service to meet even its most demanding customer's requirements.
The service centre is able to flame-cut, plasma-cut, laser-cut and bend to your specifications - steel, stainless steel or aluminium. Simply supply us with your requirements; either in the form of a conventional dimensioned drawing, a computer diskette, or e-mail the dimensions to us, we will do the rest!
Your drawings are then stored on our computers and may be recalled at a later stage for your convenience. We will also fax you an "easy to read" sketch for your approval before we actually start cutting.
Many customers use the Vulcan Steel service centre as an extension of their own workshop. The convenience of a speedy solution to their profile cutting requirements allows them to successfully complete major projects in record time with savings for both their customers and themselves.
You will be pleasantly surprised at the speed and accuracy of our computer aided cutting, whether your requirements are discs, flanges, blocks, lettering, sprockets, lugs or any of the many varieties of shapes, it will be our pleasure to assist you. We are also able to cut-to-length sheets to any length from decoiling plant, and we undertake saw cutting of heavy steel beams and tubing.
