Weldox - High Strength Steel

SSAB produces a high strength steel that provide excellent weldability, combined with toughness under the brand name Weldox. Weldox is an ore-based metallurgy and with advanced processing in steel shops, ensure very low contents of residual elements in the steel.
Properties
Weldox has excellent bend-ability and machinability properties.
Products
Due to the high strength of the steel, the products can be very strong but lightweight, which allows for a substantial reductions in the cost of materials, welding and transport.
Weldox Surface
Weldox presents a fine surface quality and great flatness which are very distinguishing features of the Weldox plate.
Flexible
Weldox provides excellent production flexibility which they can produce high strength steel with the thicknesses ranging from 4mm to 130mm with a guaranteed yield of between 700 MPa up to 1300 MPa. This enables us to deliver plate which has been tailored to the customers properties and requirements.
